So here is a list of Indian cricketers who will most likely get married before 2018.
Cricket is one of the most popular sport, even a “religion” as some call it, and therefore, news of a cricketer getting married is widely covered by the media. From details like what the cricketer was wearing at the wedding, to the wedding venue to who danced at the wedding, every minute detail is captured. And now, it looks like the cricketers who danced at their teammates wedding will soon be tying the knot this year! Some have confirmed while some are still speculations, but here is a list of Indian cricketers who will most likely get married before 2018.
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Nupur Nagar
Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar is all set to tie the knot with his fiancee Nupur Nagar on November 23, 2017. The marriage will be a private ceremony in Meerut and will be followed by two reception dinners. The first one will be on November 26 in Bulandshahr and the other on November 30 in Delhi. Nupur has studied in Meerut’s JP Academy and completed her engineering from a private institute in Noida. She works as an engineer in an MNC in Greater Noida. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will most likely miss the second Test against Sri Lanka which begins in Nagpur on 24th November. He won the Man of the Match award on Monday after the first Test
Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge
The much-in-love couple announced their relationship formally in April this year. The announcement was through their social media handles, where Sagarika posted a picture with a diamond ring on her finger and Zaheer smiling beside her. Sagarika was reportedly floored by Zaheer’s chivalrous behaviour. Since it is an inter-caste marriage, the lovebirds have opted for a simple court marriage on November 27 this year. The low key wedding will be preceded and followed by grand celebrations in Mumbai for friends and family. Sagarika and Zaheer have also reportedly planned things for their hometowns, Kolhapur and Pune, respectively. Zaheer Khan retired from all forms of International cricket in 2015.
Krunal Pandya and Pankhuri Sharma
Krunal Pandya, the elder brother of Hardik Pandya, is all set to get married to his girlfriend Pankhuri Sharma on December 27. The couple has been dating for close to a year and a half. The wedding will reportedly take place at a 5-Star hotel in Santacruz in Mumbai. Pankhuri has been staying in Mumbai for last five years. She was reportedly into film marketing but she quit the profession last year. Krunal proposed her after he won the Man of the Match in the IPL finals this year.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
While the couple has not confirmed anything, rumours of their marriage refuses to die down. According to news reports, Virat had wanted to opt out of the third and final Test match in December between India and Sri Lanka and the ODI series to follow. He had cited personal reasons or the same. In the past few months, the couple has been pretty vocal about their relationship – from attending events and weddings together, posting pictures with each other on their social media handles and being spotted together at the airport to Virat openly thanking Anushka for the stability she has brought into his life in recent interviews. The recent ad from clothing brand Manyavar, where Virat and Anushka are seen exchanging wedding vows, has only added more fuel to the speculation. Now fans are just waiting for a confirmation from the two!
To rewind a little, 2016 probably saw the highest number of cricketers getting married in the same year. The year began with Varun Aaron tying the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Ragini in a court wedding on February 1. It was closely followed by Irfan Pathan’s marriage to Jeddah-based model, Safa Baig, 21, on February 4. About a month later, Robin Uthappa got married to his fiancé Sheetal Goutham, a former tennis player, on March 3 and Mohit Sharma got married to his long-time girlfriend Shweta at Leela Palace Hotel, New Delhi on March 8. Then the charming Ravindra Jadeja also tied the knot with his fiancée Rivaba Solanki on April 17. A few months later, Yuvraj Sing married actress-model Hazel Keech on November 30 and Ishant Sharma married national level basketball player Pratima Singh on December 7.
