Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's plan to visit Gorakhpur on March 25 has left the city in a tizzy, especially coming on the heels of his surprise visit to Hazratganj police station and the Secretariat.
Gorakhnath Police Station, which Gorakhnath temple comes under, is witnessing a massive cleanliness drive, with senior cops supervising the entire operation.
- The police station got dusted and the filth removed with a new coat of paint applied to its walls.
- Sewage and sewer lines cleared with the help of JCB machines, which were pressed into action to also remove garbage from the road.
- Massive cleanliness drive being carried out all over the city, with special attention being given to the route through which the CM will travel from the airport to Gorakhnath temple.
- Roads leading to Gorakhnath temple were re-laid overnight, though interestingly, they had many potholes when Aditynath was MP of Gorakhpur.
The visit to Gorakhpur will be Adityanath's first after taking charge as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. He will be arriving in the city in the evening of March 25 and return to Lucknow on March 26 afternoon.
On March 26, Adityanath will be attending a function on the occasion of the death anniversary of Yogiraaj Baba Gambhirnath. He will be addressing the gathering during the event.
