Flanked by the likes of Yogi Adityanath and Om Mathur, Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Thursday held a road show in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur city. Riding high on hopes of coming back to power in the poll-bound state, Shah compared his road show to a victory march.
As he rode on marigold truck, going past swatches of supporters, Shah only seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Yogi Adityanath, notorious for making communal statements, had earlier been upset at not being declared the party’s CM candidate. But with Thursday’s grand show at the Yogi’s home turf, Shah hopes to get past all hurdles ahead of the all-crucial sixth phase.
