Yogi Adityanath, Azam Khan Walk Hand-in-Hand in Uttar Pradesh Assembly
Lucknow, December 15: Anything is possible in love, war and politics! The biggest political rivals in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and SP leader Azam Khan were seen walking hand-in-hand in the Uttar Pradesh assembly on Thursday. Both leaders were spotted by photographers who had assembled to take snapshots of politicians as winter session started in the state assembly.
The leaders were accompanied by other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Samajwadi Party leaders. They had come to attend the winter session of the assembly and stumbled upon each other in the corridor. They greeted each other and walked holding hands as photographers clicked the rare pictures.
The camaraderie was short-lived as Samajwadi party and the BJP MLAs slugged it out inside the house. Azam Khan attacked the Yogi government and sat on a dharna inside the assembly.
Yogi Adityanath and Azam Khan have been bitter rivals in public life. Recently, Yogi Adityanath had said that Surya Namaskar and Namaz were similar. Azam Khan had retorted by saying whether Adityanath will offer namaz instead of Suryanamaskar.
“Since you find similarities between surya namaskar and namaz, will you prefer to offer namaz?” he had asked the chief minister.
Yogi Adityanath had become the Chief Minister of the state in March this year.
