Today is APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary. The beloved ex-President of India breathed his last in Shillong on 27 July 2015, and his loss is felt even today.

Even before Kalam gained popularity as the President of India, he was a well-known aerospace scientist, an author and professor. He loved children and once also said, “Let us sacrifice our today so that our children can have a better tomorrow.”

As we remember and honour Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary, here is a photograph of him. Our daily contest today is called ‘Caption Contest’.
