Xiaomi Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro India launch in one month

Some reports suggest that the India pricing of both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will be much aggressive when compared to China price. The China price of both the phones start at 1999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,000).

Xiaomi is gearing up to create a buzz in the Indian smartphone space with the Redmi K20 series. A couple of weeks ago Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Jain revealed that the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro India launch will happen in 6 weeks. On Wednesday Jain revealed that the India launch of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will happen in 4 weeks. This suggests that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro are coming to India my third week of July. The launch date of the Redmi K20 series is yet to be revealed by the company.

Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro in China last month. In China, both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro are pretty aggressively priced. Some reports suggest that the India pricing of both the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will be much aggressive when compared to China price.

In China, the Redmi K20 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version comes for 1999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,000) while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model comes for 2099 Yuan that translates to Rs 21,000. Coming to the Redmi K20 Pro, the base variant of the phone with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage costs 2499 Yuan (Rs 25,000 approx), 6GB RAM / 128GB storage costs 2599 Yuan (Rs 26,000 approx), 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model comes for 2799 Yuan (Rs 28,000 approx) and lastly, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant of the phone comes for 2999 Yuan (Rs 30,000 approx).

We at India Today Tech expect the same variants of the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro to come to India too. This means the Redmi K20 will come with Snapdragon 730 processor while the Redmi K20 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 855 processor. With the Pro version of the Redmi K20, Xiaomi India is aiming to take on the likes of flagship level phones like the OnePlus 7 Pro and now also the Asus 6z.
