Xiaomi India will launch five new products to mark its fifth anniversary: Here's what to expect
Xiaomi India is turning five. And on account of that Managing Director Manu Jain announced that the company is planning to have five weeks of celebration during which there will be five product launches. As of now, we know that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a Trimmer for men, the Redmi K20 and the Redm K20 Pro. The company has announced to launch the Mi Trimmer with advanced styling tools in India tomorrow, June 25.
In the latest video posted by Jain, Xiaomi India has also confirmed that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will launch in India in three weeks. This means that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro India launch will happen by mid-July. Xiaomi India is yet to reveal the launch date of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro.
We believe Xiaomi India to launch the same China variants of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro in India too. This suggests that the Redmi K20 in India is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor. Having said that, if this turns out to be true then the Redmi K20 will be the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 730 processor in India. Meanwhile, the Redmi K20 Pro will come with Snapdragon 855 processor in the country. With the Redmi K20 Pro Xiaomi is said to take on the likes of some of the recently launched flagship level phones like the OnePlus 7 Pro, among others.
Some of the reports suggest that alongside the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro Xiaomi India will also launch the Redmi 7A budget phone that will succeed the Redmi 6A that launched in the country last year. Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi 7A in other markets. Alongside these four products - Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi Trimmer, Redmi 7A - the company is also expected to bring the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 that went official in China only recently.
For now, Xiaomi has already confirmed the India launch of the Mi Trimmer, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro. The company is expected to reveal official details about the India launch of the Redmi 7A and Mi Band 4. In addition to the new or upcoming products, Jain revealed that several Xiaomi products will see price cuts too.
