World Children’s Day should not be confused with our own Children’s Day that we celebrate on November 14. World Children’s Day is a universal day dedicated to children throughout the world. Every World Children’s Day is given a theme by UNICEF and 2017’s theme is #KidsTakeOver, with the fund encouraging children to step into their parents’ shoes and help the less fortunate children. Sports stars like David Beckham and Sachin Tendulkar are lending support to this year’s events that are organized by the UNICEF. Sachin Tendulkar and Suresh Raina even took to Twitter to wish the children around the world on this special day. Sachin Tendulkar shared a throwback picture of his children Sara and Arjun to wish all a happy World Children’s Day.
Several people took to social media to extend their wishes on World Children’s Day and s per UNICEF’s theme today is a day for children by children. UNICEF has organized various events where children address their rights, save their lives and help them fulfill their potential. Children are not born with the prejudices, don’t teach them
Racism isn’t something we’re born with, but is learned. It’s based in ignorance and insecurity limits all humanity. By speaking out against racism we can begin to erode these learned prejudices and embrace our DIVERSITY as is our True Nature. ~ Karen Kain

Kids Take Over
Let’s unite for children’s rights today & every day.
— United Nations (@UN) November 20, 2017
Children are our future and we must realize that if we want to give a more peaceful and happy life to them we must do away with our prejudice based on caste, colour, creed, status and religion. Every child is special and crimes against them must be stopped at all costs. Children are the citizens of tomorrow and we must keep them safe, respect their rights and educate them to lead a better and fulfilling life which would also give back to society and others. Happy World Children’s Day to all!
