Woman dies after friend throws her off third floor terrace in Ghaziabad
A 35-year-old woman, Imrana, was thrown off the terrace of her third-floor apartment in Ghaziabad by an acquaintance following a heated argument, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on Sunday (October 21) afternoon in Lok Priya Vihar Colony, and the victim succumbed to injuries at a private hospital in Ghaziabad in the night, City Superintendent of Police (SP) Shlok Kumar said.
Based on a complaint filed by the husband of the deceased, an FIR was registered against the accused, Shahid, he said.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had come to meet the woman around 2 pm on Sunday when her husband was out for some work. Shahid and Imrana went to the terrace where they had a heated argument, following which he threw the victim off the terrace and fled from the spot, police said.
Imrana was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries where she died, police said.
The victim and her husband, Murtza, a native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, had rented the apartment 20 days ago and were living with their three children.
Murtza said in his complaint that Imrana and Shahid used to meet each other, which he disliked and hence, decided to leave Delhi and move to Khoda in Ghaziabad, police said.
Imrana's body was sent for autopsy and police are on the lookout to nab Shahid.
