The Minnesota Wild signed goaltender Hunter Jones to a three-year, entry-level contract Thursday, general manager Bill Guerin announced.
Jones, 19, was selected by the Wild in the second round (59th overall) of the 2019 NHL draft.
The Brantford, Ontario native has spent the last three seasons with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League.
In 2019-20, Jones ranked second among OHL goaltenders in shutouts (four), fourth in wins (31) and goals-against average (2.75) and fifth in save percentage (.913).
He has compiled a 62-47-7 record with a 3.31 GAA, a .901 save percentage and seven shutouts over 121 games during his three seasons with Peterborough.
