Why is Jose Mourinho unhappy at Manchester United?

18 Apr 2018: Why is Jose Mourinho unhappy at Manchester United?

Manchester United's season could not reach the heights as expected.

After winning three trophies last season, Jose Mourinho's ManU have a solitary shot this term.

A loss in the semis of FA Cup could put an end to their trophy hunt.

It has been a season where brilliance has often been marred with awful performances.

The inconsistency has hurt Jose and fans alike.

Poor show: Performances haven't been up to the mark

What United have failed to do as a team, this season, is deliver consistent performances on the field.

They have lacked the intensity at times and results against teams well below them have hurt their campaign.

A 3-2 win against champions City in EPL was followed by a 1-0 loss at home to West Brom.

This has been the reason of Jose's frustration.

Testing times: The challenge for United players

Jose has had enough and after the loss against West Brom, he went public stating that only those players, who will play well against Bournemouth, will feature in the FA Cup.

This is as direct as it can get.

Will it motivate the players selected for Bournemouth to give their all?

Reports claim that several top players are set to be axed against Spurs.

Lashing out: Jose has picked out on players

Over the season, there have been numerous times when the manager has picked out players and given them the slack.

From Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Paul Pogba they have all faced the brunt of Mourinho in certain games.

Reports claim that he had a recent bust-up with Pogba. Shaw, meanwhile, is contemplating a move away.

Players haven't made Jose happy.

Gone: Several players on the brink of an exit

At least four to five players in the United squad are said to be leaving the club this summer.

Jose has identified the players he deems surplus to requirements.

Players such as Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Marouane Fellaini are likely to head out.

Mourinho wants players who can match his intensity and hunger to win.

Fact: Jose praises Matic and Lukaku

Jose has praised the likes of Matic and Romelu Lukaku besides David de Gea for being on a level that others have lacked. This came after the exit to Sevilla in the Champions League. Clearly the manager wanted reactions from his inconsistent players.
