In a foot in mouth situation for BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha, he introduced actor Akhilendra Mishra as Akhilesh Yadav at the Bodhisattva International film festival in Patna on Thursday.

In a bid to do some damage control, Sinha added, "I don't know why I keep recalling Akhilesh Yadav. Now this will create controversy, I know."

Clarifying later, Sinha said that calling Akhilendra Misra as Akhilesh Yadav was just to remove monotony from the programme.

"Life becomes monotonous until there is some humour. But it's a fact that Akhilesh Yadav is all over the place nowadays", he said.
