Why did the Law Minister lose patience over ‘manipulated media’ tag? | Frankly Speaking

In this episode of Frankly Speaking, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar takes the hot seat. In conversation with Navika Kumar, the Union Minister asserts that if someone calls India a ‘banana republic’ then they will be repudiated. He discusses the recent spat that the Central government had with social media platform Twitter over the ‘manipulated media’ tag. Twitter had recently tagged a tweet by BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra as manipulated media. In the said tweet the politician had talked about an alleged ‘toolkit’ that is being used by Opposition Congress to tarnish PM Modi and his government’s image over the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
