Wholesale Inflation in April sees a big jump; WPI stands at 10.49%

There has been a big spike in Wholesale inflation in the month of April. The wholesale inflation price in April rose to 10.49%. The wholesale inflation price in March was over 7%, as per the reports. The three per cent jump in the wholesale price is now impeding India's economic recovery. In March, when the wholesale inflation was at 7.3%, it was an 8-year high. The impact of the first wave of the COVID pandemic was pretty clear and while the country was still trying to recover, the second wave of the COVID-19 hit India hard once again, bringing the economic recovery to a halt.
