WhatsApp tips: Use this guide to make new WhatsApp stickers, on Holi create own stickers to share with friends

This Holi, greet your friends and family with customised WhatsApp Stickers using your Android phones and iPhones, instead of sharing the boring old forwarded messages.

WhatsApp has come a long since its days where it could be used only to share text messages, images and videos. Today it offers countless features that can be used to share messages - be it funny messages or festive greetings - with friends and family. Today you can create and share funky doodles and funny GIFs with your WhatsApp friends. You can also share Stickers from WhatsApp's vast library of Stickers.

But best of all, you can also create your own stickers on WhatsApp and share them with your family and friends to wish them on special ocassions. For instance, instead of sharing the same old boring forwarded Holi greetings, you could share a customised WhatsApp Sticker with your family members and give them a nice surprise.

So here's how you can create your customised stickers on WhatsApp:

For Android smartphones

Android users have it all easy. While WhatsApp allows you to customise stickers, it doesn't let you do so from within the app. Instead you will have download a third-party app - Sticker Maker for WhatsApp - on your smartphone from the Google Play Store. Now that you have downloaded the app, all you need to do is follow these simple steps.

- Open the Sticker Maker for WhatsApp app and tap on Create a new Sticker Pack option.

- Tap on Add Sticker option.

- Choose the image you want to convert into a sticker. You can select images from your gallery, Google Drive or Google Photos to create a sticker. You can also select multiple images at once.

- Crop the image as required.

- Now tap on Publish Sticker Pack. Confirm to publish.

- Once the sticker pack has been published, the app will automatically show up in WhatsApp.

For iPhones

Don't be disheartened if you own an iPhone as you can also customise stickers on WhatsApp using third-party app. All you need to do is download the Sticker Maker for WhatsApp from the App Store and follow these steps.

- Open the app and tap on Tap to Start option.

- Tap on Create option, then tap on My Stickers.

- Now tap on the image icon to choose your source -- Gallery, Emoji Template, Camera or Select Multiple Images.

- Crop the image as required.

- Select the Shape Frame and Photo Effect and tap on the arrow on top right corner.

- Tap on the Tick icon on top right corner.

- Tap on Add to WhatsApp icon and then tap on Open WhatsApp option. Once you do so, you will be directed to WhatsApp.

- Now tap on Save option to save the sticker pack to your collection.

It is worth noting that in case of both - the Android phones and iPhones - you can only add 30 stickers to a pack and once a sticker pack has been added to WhatsApp, it cannot be edited.

So, Happy WhatsApp-ing this Holi folks!
