Whatsapp Privacy Policy Row: IT ministry issues notice to scrap the update by May 25th

The Government of India has issued a notice to Whatsapp and has set a deadline to roll back its new privacy policy amid the ongoing row over Whatsapp's new policy. Whatsapp privacy policy has been heavily criticized by users across India and failing to accept these policies, the users in India are likely to witness disrupted service in Whatsapp. The IT ministry has stated that the platform has time till May 25th to roll back its new privacy policy. Whatsapp has now responded to the IT ministry's notice and has stated that while many users across the country have accepted the policy, which was delayed for over six months, no disruption in services has been caused to those who are yet to accept it.
