WhatsApp privacy policy row: Govt examines WhatsApp's new data sharing policy

WhatsApp recently announced that its terms of service and privacy policy would be revised from February 8 onwards. The Facebook-owned business is now also reportedly under the government's scanner after coming under criticism from all sides.

WhatsApp will continue to exchange some details with Facebook and its related companies as part of the new policies. As WhatsApp users would not be able to use the app without agreeing to the new terms, this change has raised privacy concerns around the globe.
