West Bengal: Protestors swim through canal to meet CM Mamata Banerjee, demand hike in salary

A massive breach of security comes to light from the State of West Bengal. Few protestors, who wanted to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, took a plunge into a canal and swam through it. In order to resort and detain the protestors, the police had to jump into the waters.

According to reports, the protests were held by the teachers who were demanding a hike in salaries. COVID-19 pandemic followed by nationwide lockdown had resulted in a dip of school teachers’ salary and now the faculties are demanding a hike in salary.
