West Bengal polls 2021: 41 crude explosives found from South 24 Parganas

On Friday, 41 crude bombs were found in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, just days before the state's third phase of assembly elections. According to the District Election Officer of South 24 Parganas, a raid was conducted by Bhangore police station of Baruipur Police district at the Padmapukur area under Pranganj GP on the basis of source information, where 41 crude bombs were recovered from a forest. In the ongoing elections, the Assembly constituency and two polling stations in Padmapukur had already been identified as "vulnerable." According to the EC, a lawsuit has been filed and an investigation is underway, but no arrests have been made so far.
