West Bengal: Mamata Banerjee terms Cooch Behar's violence as Genocide; EC takes action

Reports of violent clashes breaking out in West Bengal's Cooch Behar amid the fourth phase of assembly elections started pouring in late last evening. Four people have lost their lives in the clashes while the political parties are continuing with their blame game. The Election Commission took cognizance of the matter and imposed a ban on all the political parties for the next 72 hours. TMC supremo and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee were to visit the area in which the clashes broke out. Addressing the media, Mamata Banerjee termed the clashes a violent genocide.
