West Bengal on April 14 recorded fresh 5,892 coronavirus cases, pushing the tally to 6,30,116. West Bengal has recorded 10,458 COVID related deaths till April 14. 5,87,037 coronavirus patients have recovered and discharged so far. With West Bengal witnessing a daily surge in coronavirus cases, a doctors' forum has written to the chief secretary, Election Commission and expressed deep concerns regarding the COVID-19 situation in the state where elections are taking place. While pointing to very less numbers of COVID testing in the state, the doctors claimed that their repeated requests for allowing Rapid Antigen testing facilities at all health care centres are yet to be implemented.
