West Bengal: BJP MP Swapan Das Gupta compares post-poll violence to China's Cultural Revolution

BJP MP Swapan Das Gupta has now compared the post-poll violence in the state of West Bengal to that of China's Cultural Revolution. Swapan Das Gupta put out a tweet stating that the horrors which are now being observed in West Bengal against the BJP workers force people to recall the horrors of the Red Guards in China, during the Cultural Revolution. The statement has now come in connection with the post-poll violence which was witnessed in West Bengal after CM Mamata Banerjee was elected for the third term on May 2nd. Many were displaced and rendered homeless and were forced to take shelter in Assam. However, CM Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress dismissed these charges. However, it is yet to be seen how the TMC government reacts to the comparison drawn by BJP MP Swapan Das Gupta.
