The first phase of elections in West Bengal is currently underway and ahead of the elections, political violence once again marred the state. A bus of the Election Commission was torched last night and today Suvendu Adhikari's brother Soumendu's vehicle has been attacked in West Bengal. The incident was reported from Contai, where Soumendu's car was vandalized. This after he alleged that people were being stopped from casting their vote in the area. Further, three people have been arrested for allegedly attacking a CPI(M) candidate. CPI Leader alleged that the attack was done by the workers of the TMC party and the BJP joined hands with the TMC in order to bring down the left alliance in the state.
