Welcome to the new Yahoo India homepage

When two Stanford University friends launched “David and Jerry’s Guide to the World Wide Web” back in 1994 (almost the dawn of time in web terms), it was no more than a few links to help them keep track of the best the Internet had to offer.

Today as we welcome you to the new yahoo.in, our commitment to making daily habits more inspiring and entertaining hasn’t changed a bit – but our look certainly has. The new Yahoo is slicker, more modern and more intuitive than ever, and is just the first step on a journey towards creating a completely refreshed homepage experience centered on you.

While you’ll find plenty of familiar features to make you feel at home, the page is also bursting with new features designed to make it even easier to discover what you care about most. And that’s true whether you’re at your desk on your computer, on the sofa with your tablet, or on the bus or train on your smartphone.

Take our newly designed news feed, for example. Try scrolling to the bottom of the feed on your desktop, tablet or smartphone and watch it update real-time with the latest news from Yahoo.

Just like before, all stories are sorted by category so you can go straight to the news you care about most, be it News, Sports, Finance or Entertainment. And if you're pressed for time, you can still find the day’s top stories – handpicked by editors from across the Yahoo network – right at the top of the page.

If you’re signed in to your Yahoo account, you can also save stories you like with a quick tap of the Y button, which appears whenever you hover over each article. Or delete them as and when you wish. That way, you can pick up where you left off later on any of your devices, as long as you’re logged in.

The search box and mail icon remain in the same place, while the left-hand column still links to all your favourite Yahoo pages. But now, on the right, there's a series of feeds that give you instant access to weather, share prices and horoscopes, which you can also personalize. If the financial markets or astrology really aren't your thing, simply click to remove them.

Take a look around and see how effortless it is to discover your day. You’ll see more changes over the next few months, both big and small.
