WB: SC/ST community suffers from post-poll violence; writes to President seeking intervention

114 professors from the SC/ST community have written to the president on violence in West Bengal. The letter has been penned down by the centre for social development and signed by community members. The petition is seeking stern action against the perpetrators of the president of India. The letter mentions that post the 2nd of May poll results, almost 11000 SC/ST community members have been severely impacted. In fact, they state that the violence was such that nearly 2000 people had to migrate from the state and settle as refugees in nearing areas of Assam, Odisha, and Jharkhand. They appeal to the president to intervene and find a solution to this violence.
