Watch: Pune restaurant employs specially-abled staff, supplies come from farmers

A restaurant in Pune is in its first kind which employed specially-abled staff to cater to its customers. Terrasinne is a social initiative to provide employment to specially-abled and farmers. The menu card here has a special sign for every food they wish to order. To place the order, customers communicate the signs to the employees. Owner Sonam Kapse said, Over 250 farmers were brought on board to provide us with their supplies. We hired 20 specially-abled people - deaf and dumb - to cater to customers.” The restaurant has, meanwhile, received a positive response from the customers.
