Successful football teams share the workload, but one team in the Thai League took that to the extreme when two players produced a double overhead kick to score their side’s second goal.
Incredibly, two players, Kitsada Hemvipat and Brazilian Leandro Assumpcao, teammates for Nakhon Ratchasima FC, went for the same ball, crossed in from the right. Both leaped with their back to goal and executed perfect overhead kicks. Even more astounding is that the pair somehow managed to avoid each other and pull it off, with the ball finding the back of the net via one or both players.
Kitsada ended up claiming the goal after the match, but it didn’t stop it being an incredible effort from both players, not to mention one of the most bizarre moments ever seen in a football game.
The downside is it wasn’t enough to get anything out of the game, with Nakhon Ratchasima FC eventually losing 3-2. But wins happen in football all the time, double overhead kicks not so much.
