Wanted Maoist carrying Rs. 5 lakh bounty on head surrenders

Wanted Maoist Damodar Yadav who was carrying a reward of Rs. 5 lakh on his head surrendered before the police in Jharkhand's Latehar on Friday. Yadav has a total of 24 cases registered against him. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officials from 214 battalion welcomed the Naxal and said it is a step forward because in the coming future Jharkhand would be made free of Naxals. Up till now a total of eight Maoists have already surrendered from the region.
