VK Sasikala receives hate mails even in jail

VK Sasikala has received over 100 abusive letters written in Tamil, blaming her for late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa's death.

AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala, who is serving her four year term in a disproportionate assets case at the Parpanna Agrahara jail in Bengaluru, has been receiving death threats.

According to reports, she has been receiving letters blaming her for late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa's death.

Elavarasi, who is also serving term with her, is believed to be screening the letters while discarding the most abusive ones.

More than 100 letters, written in Tamil and addressed to 'Sasikala, Central Prison, Parappana Agrahara, Bangalore 560100', have reached the jail since February 15, the day Sasikala stepped into the prison after the Supreme Court upheld her conviction in an illegal wealth case.

However, speaking to reporters, an official said that the letters called her betrayer and an unfaithful, ungrateful woman. the language used may be harsh, but there is no direct threat to Sasikala's life."Also Read
