Vivo iQOO Neo with Snapdragon 845 chipset will launch on July 2

The Vivo iQOO Neo will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that backs all the flagship phones from last year like the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, OnePlus 6 series, Xiaomi Mi 8 series, among others.

The Vivo iQOO Neo is all set to go official very soon. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has now officially announced that the Vivo iQOO Neo will launch on July 2. It is on the same date when Xiaomi will launch its first-ever Mi CC series phones/ phone. The Vivo iQOO Neo will be launching in China for now and will eventually head to other markets. There are no reports whether the Vivo iQOO Neo will hit the Indian market or not.

The key highlight of the Vivo iQOO Neo is its hardware setup. To recollect Vivo launched the Vivo iQOO gaming phone back in the month of March this year. The upcoming Vivo iQOO Neo is a toned down version of the Vivo iQOO in terms of specifications. The Vivo iQOO Neo will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that backs all the flagship phones from last year like the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, OnePlus 6 series, Xiaomi Mi 8 series, among others. In comparison, the Vivo iQOO is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor that powers most of the new flagship phones like the Redmi K20 Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10, among others.

Vivo's sub-brand iQOO has confirmed some of the key specs of the Vivo iQOO Neo. The Vivo iQOO Neo comes packed with a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on the top of it. The phone includes a triple camera set up on the back panel. On the front, there will be a single camera sensor sitting inside the waterdrop notch.

Compared to the Vivo iQOO the Vivo iQOO Neo will compromise on some features. The Vivo iQOO Neo is expected to not include fast charging technology or the LED strips on the rear panel. Additionally, the company has also revealed that the Vivo iQOO Neo will come with features like 4D Game Shock 2.0, Liquid Cooling, and touch acceleration. Similar to the specs, the price of the Vivo iQOO Neo is also expected to be lower when compared to the Vivo iQOO.

The Vivo iQoo is available in four variants in China. The base model comes with 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage for CNY 2,998 (translates to Rs 31,700), 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage comes for CNY 3,298 (translates to Rs 34,900), 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,598 (translates to Rs 38,100) and 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage model comes at CNY 4,298 (roughly Rs. 45,500).
