Viral Alert: Zayn Malik Shares A Pic Of His Father Posing With Dilip Kumar On Instagram

Did you know Zayn Malik is a Bollywood fan?

British-American heartthrob Zayn Malik, who became one of the most well-known boyband singers in the world after he shot to fame on the X Factor with his bandmates Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis, recently shared a throwback picture – a black and white photo of his father with legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar – on his Instagram, sending his Indian fanbase into a frenzy. The singer and former One Direction member captioned the post as, “Abu with Dilip Kumar.” The vintage photograph was liked 9 lakh times.

The 25-year-old singer has recently recorded his first track for a Bollywood film. The song is expected to have an Arabian influence. Speaking about his experience, in a statement to an Indian fashion magazine (Elle India), Zayn had said, “It’s one of the first songs I’ve sung in full Hindi, so it’s going to be cool to see what the response is.”

Interestingly, Zayn, who is a Bollywood fan, had confessed his love for the Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan previously. Zayn always thought SRK was arrogant in real life until his encounter with the Bollywood Baadshah, who changed his perception about him. Now, the singer is very fond of King Khan. Zayn, in one of his interviews, had said, “I personally wasn’t a huge fan until I met him. I realised how humble he is – really saw a different side to him. He always came across as slightly arrogant in the movies to me, but when I met him in real life, he was so nice. He just completely changed my opinion of him.” ALSO READ: Zayn Malik ready to pursue acting

Zayn will be including a lot of Urdu in his music with some Bhangra vibes thrown in, as he had told the fashion magazine, “There’s definitely a lot of Urdu; some nice qawwali sounds. There might even be some bhangra vibes.” Also, the pop singer has collaborated with the maestro AR Rahman for one of the songs in the album. Watch this space for further updates.
