Vinod Khanna‘s death has deeply grieved Bollywood. While we lost one of the most iconic actors of the seventies, also the Golden Era of the Indian Cinema, the industry, and its people made a beeline to his residence to pay last respects. Karan Johar canceled his big budget hoopla event: Baahubali 2 premiere and now, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has canceled the Padmavati shoot today. Now, isn’t this something? Bollywoodlife has reported that this is filmmaker’s tribute to the deceased actor.

SLB has released a statement which reads thus: It is saddening to hear the demise of Vinod Khanna ji. I have watched him as a child and throughout my life was always fascinated by his style and charisma. He was always a thorough gentleman. A big loss to the fraternity. He is and always will be family to the Dutts. May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to Kavita Bhabhi, Akshay, Rahul and Sakshi.” Karan too released a tweet stating the same. He wrote, “As a mark of respect to our beloved Vinod Khanna the entire team of Baahubali has decided to cancel the premiere tonight. Vinod Khanna will be sorely missed by Bollywood for sure. After all, he was one of the few stars of that time who was a talent house of acting and also inspired millions with his style sense and rockstar image. His funeral was attented by his wife Kavita Khanna, Rahul Khanna, Akshay and Sakshi Khanna.
