Vijay Mallya was expected to appear today before the Supreme Court in regards with his proceedings, but the Centre has stated that they are unaware with the proceedings in the U.K, which have delayed Mallya’s extradition.
Times Now legal editor Harish tells that the apex court is waiting the extradition of Vijay Mallya for sentencing him in bank fraud case. Even after the repeated direction from the Supreme Court, Vijay Mallya has still not paid Rs 9,000 Cr worth of dues. Solicitor General on behalf of the Centre said that even after the extradition was cleared, there were some secret proceedings going on in the U.K. Solicitor General has also added that he has no clue about the nature of proceedings which is going on. Supreme Court has given Mallya’s counsel time to get back to the top court with details of his proceedings in the U.K
