To minimise the Road mishap in the state, youngsters of Jammu and Kashmir had started a traffic awareness campaign in Udhampur. Youngsters' voluntarily laid special naka's in Udhampur where volunteers stopped vehicles who didn't wear seatbelt and helmet. They made public aware about the traffic rules and regulation which is meant for the safety.A volunteer told ANI, "This initiative is to make people aware about traffic rules. Every day we face many problems. Traffic jams condition is increasing day by day as people park their vehicles at no parking zone, to some extent police tried to manage the traffic but wouldn't be able to stop, as they have so much burden. So we think to help police to spread awareness about traffic rules to reduce road accidents". People of Udhampur highly appreciated the move of the youngsters for this important steps.
