Dibrugarh (Assam), May 27 (ANI): Due to incessant rainfall in Assam, flood-like situation has arisen in several parts of the state. Water has entered in several low lying areas of Dibrugarh. The region has been receiving heavy rainfall since past 4-5 days due to which water level of Brahmaputra River had risen close to danger level. Around 8,000 people in six villages have been affected due to it. According to Deputy Commissioner of Dibrugarh, Pallav Gopal Jha, there are indications that water level is receding which might bring relief to the locals.
