Sushil Modi files defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Thursday filed defamation suit against Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Chief Judicial Magistrate's (CJM) court in Patna for his statement 'all thieves have Modi in their surnames'. Speaking to mediaperons, the senior BJP leader said, "I have filed a defamation case against congress president Rahul Gandhi. Under IPC 500, two years sentence to jail punishment is given in defamation case. In an affidavit, it has been stated that he had said that all Modi are thieves. Sentiments of all people with Modi title have been hurt. So we have asked Patna court to summon Rahul Gandhi and have trail on him. Sometimes he says "Chowkidar Chor Hai" and many people in Bihar are Chowkidar. There are lakhs of people who have title Modi and so I have filed my case."
