A large number of misled tribal youth, who had joined Naxal outfits, have realized the futility of violence and laid down arms. But with passage of time, many of those youngsters who were recruited have understood that change in society does not come through bloodshed but through education and development in social and economic conditions. Pahar Singh, who has returned to the mainstream, says the continuous imposition of ideas and diktats opened his eyes. Now, a majority of tribal people have realized the malicious designs of Naxals and are opposing their diktats. These innocent villagers and tribal are now getting aware of the two-faced policies of the Naxals and many are now returning to the mainstream. After all, no one would be interested in being part of a movement which is based on false promises.
