Stranded Nepalese migrant workers return back to their country via Champawat

Champawat (Uttarakhand): May 26 (ANI): Migrant workers from Nepal, finally returning to their home country after being stranded in India for more than two months due to coronavirus pandemic. Around 1,500 migrants from Nepal returned to their country via Indo-Nepal border at Champawat district of Uttarakhand. One of the migrant worker thanked government of India to provide facilities to them to cross the border amid the global lockdown.Champawat's Superintendent of Police, Lokeshwar Singh, said, "Around 1500 citizens of Nepal crossed the border, they had come here from different parts of India."The migrant workers retuned back to Nepal on May 25.
