Shaheen Bagh protests: Continuously in talks with locals to avoid road blockage, says DCP

While speaking to ANI, on ongoing women-led protests in Shaheen Bagh against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Deputy Commissioner of Police for Southeast Delhi, Chinmoy Biswal, said that the authorities are continuously in talks with the locals to persuade them to not block roads for their protests. "We are continuously in talks with the protestors that protest can be held peacefully without blocking any road. Protest on a major road only hampers daily life activities. We want that locals of Shaheen Bagh follow the High Court orders. Our priority is to maintain law and order. But everyone in this protest is a common citizen so we don't want to take strict action," the DCP said.
