Indian cricket legend Virender Sehwag might have retired but the opener continues to contribute to gentleman’s game in numerous ways, and one such is through his highly successful cricket academy where young budding cricketers are provided with state-of-the-art facilities and coaches to improve their skills. In order to encourage the young cricketer, Sehwag Academy also holds an annual U-14 tournament where each team gets to play 4 league matches. The matches are played in a T20 format where 32 teams fight it out for the ultimate prize. The tournament started on April 8 and after some spectacular cricket, MRV Cricket Academy and SCA Tigers booked their place in the final. Both teams showcased some spectacular cricket but ultimately MRV Cricket Academy won the tournament. Batting first SCA Tigers managed to score 115 runs in overs which MRV chased with real ease. MRV chased down the target in 11.2 overs and won the match by 8 wickets.
