Rahul Gandhi appears before Surat Court over defamation case

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi arrived in Gujarat's Surat on Oct 10. He appeared before Surat Court today in connection with a case over his comment "Why do all thieves have Modi in their names". He gave the statement in a public speech during Lok Sabha elections. Speaking on the matter, Congress leader Ahmed Patel said, "He was summoned so he has come here. Let the law take its own course. We will see when the court takes a decision. Whatever the judge says will be done." He further said, "BJP is not able to digest power. All they are trying to show their power as they have won for second time. They are working to take revenge from the opposition."
