This is how Pune bids royal farewell to Lord Ganesha, a glimpse

The 10-day long festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is concluding on September 12. To mark the day, huge number of devotees came together to bid farewell to their beloved Bappa at various immersion points. Pune city dipped in the religious fervour as devotees made colorful Rangolis on roads and took out processions to bid a royal farewell to Lord Ganesha. During Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees worship Bappa's idols. One of the most revered gods, Lord Ganesha is considered by many as a symbol of good fortune, wisdom and luck. The festival is one of the main festivals of Maharashtra. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha.
