The Centre Government on Saturday approved an ordinance to amend the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act to introduce the death penalty for rape of children younger than 12 years. Country's women welcomed the decision with open hands. They said in one voice that the decision has came little late but hopefully it will decrease the heinous crime. The decision was taken a meeting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi. The decision comes in the wake of public outrage over the Kathua rape-and-murder case where the victim was a minor.
