PMC Bank scam: Special court extends ED custody of accused till Oct 24

The special Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) court has extended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody of Rakesh Kumar Wadhawan and his son Sarang Wadhawan, accused in the PMC Bank fraud case, till October 24. Earlier, on October 18, the judicature had given the custody of the duo till Oct 22. So far, three people have died amid the crisis that has hit the PMC bank. Last month, the RBI had restricted the activities of the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank for six months. The ED had also seized and identified movable and immovable assets worth more than Rs 3,830 crore owned by the HDIL in connection with the case.
