Pervez Musharraf indicted over Benazir Bhutto assassination

A Pakistani court has charged former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday, over the 2007 assassination of former Prime Minister and opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. Musharraf has however pleaded not guilty. Bhutto was killed in 2007 during a rally in the city of Rawalpindi. Musharraf has been indicted on three counts which are murder, conspiracy to commit murder and facilitation for murder. Prosecutors have said Musharraf, who was president at the time, failed properly to protect her.
