People of Vrindavan celebrated festival of colours in full swing at Bankey Bihari Temple on the auspicious day of Holika Dahan or Choti Holi. They gathered at the temple, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. They played with different colours with each other and celebrated day one of the festival. The happiness and enthusiasm of devotees can be seen clearly. Today marks the Holika Dahan, also called Chhoti Holi. Holy pyres are burnt on streets, signifying the victory of good over evil. People perform 'parikrama' around the fire. The legend of Prahlad, Holika and Hiranyakashyap is associated with it.
