Nearly Rs. 100 crore 'bed of banned cash' found at Kanpur home

Banned notes worth 97 crores, were found stacked up, at a house in Kanpur Uttar Pradesh. The cash was in denomination of 500 and 1,000 which were demonetized by the government in November 2016. The police named the owner of the house as Ashok Khatri, who has a money exchange business. SSP Kanpur, Akhilesh Kumar told media Khatri and some others connected to him are being interrogated while 16 people have been arrested in connection with the currency haul so far.
