Naxal hideout busted in Jharkhand

Security forces recently raided and busted a Naxal transit camp in the hills of Ghatshila subdivision of Jharkhand on June 18. The joint operation was launched by district police and commandos of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) after they got intelligence inputs about the presence of Naxals in the region. A brief encounter ensued between security forces and the Naxals in the hills near Bakracocha village in Ghatshila subdivision, located about 100 kms from Jamshedpur. Although, the Naxals managed to flee, security forces recovered a 9mm pistol, three live cartridges, six detonators, five gelatin sticks, two circuits, four battery chargers, one camera flashgun, one can bomb and a China-made binocular from the scene of encounter.
