Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan is showing positive results in making Rajasthan self reliant in terms of water sector. The efforts made by the government along with the people to make this campaign successful are bearing fruit now. To understand its effect on nature, a workshop on Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan was recently organised at Mohanlal Sukhadia (MLS) University in Udaipur. Beneficiaries of this campaign also participated in this workshop. In the workshop, Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said that, "the ground water level has increased because of the water stored in structure constructed during this campaign. Apart from that one could see immense effect on the nature also. Wells, Baoris, Hand pumps and Tube wells have been recharged. This has given great relief to the common people, farmers and wildlife." He also stated that, "the farmer should use modern techniques for irrigation purposes so that water can be used efficiently." During this programme, detailed information about the work done in three phases of the MJSA was also given out.
