On Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to 'switch off electric lights and lit candles on April 05', Energy Minister of Maharashtra, Nitin Raut said, "I am disappointed with Prime Minister. If all lights are switched off at once it might lead to failure of grid. I would appeal to the public to light candles and lamps without switching off lights. If emergency supplies fail, Prime Minister will be solely responsible for it." Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed citizens of the nation to switch off light for nine minutes at 9 pm on April 05 and light up lamp, candle or torch to mark the fight against COVID-19 through a video message.
